FML.

I'm going to keep this post short. Somehow, my dad accidentally threw away my AP Biology textbook. I don't know how this happened but I was crying yesterday at how ridiculous this all was. We now have to pay $138 to the school. I had my second to last day today... the last paper of the school year was published! School is winding down, fast. The wonderful thing about finals week is that I only have 2 real finals-- math and spanish. I have my last bout of SAT testing tomorrow until summer so I'm almost free!

I wrote a story about the SAT and here it is... I have a new label just for stories lols. This is just the first chapter. I know the layout is so weird...

I also started watching the Korean drama Coffee Prince again... here's a short synopsis of the first 3 episodes:

  • There's this crazy hard working girl who has an irresponsible mother and an airhead sister. They barely make enough to stay afloat and eat food. This girl is a super tomboy and wears guy clothing (comfort? idk) and everybody thinks she's a guy. She delivers jjajangmyun (black noodle dish) to this guy's house and he's weird (but super super attractive. I love goong yoo). He was a nice bod and he's sitting on the couch with nothing but a towel on wiping his legs. I dunno but it was appreciated, teeehee.
  • Her sister is in a relationship with this weird guy, he's sort of an ahole actually. She calls up the main character to help her get rid of him. They have an eating competition, this scene was crazy. Her sister is b----- though and complains all the time about how they're so poor and whatever.
  • She rides her motorcycle for work to deliver food. The same guy is walking around the street at night with this girl he's sort of interested in. They have a weird on-off relationship. The ahole (with sister) steals her bag in order to pay for his girlfriend's college bills. The main character sees him and tells him to run away after giving him the low down.
  • The guy (legs..) tells her he saw everything and how it was a set-up. It really wasn't . . .but it did look like it. He doesn't want to pay reparation fees (her motorcycle got busted and she was fired).
  • His grandma and mom are mad at him for being such a lazy playboy. He agrees to blind date. The main character bothers him on every day for the money. He has a crazy idea. He's going to pretend that he's gay in order to scare all the girls away. This is main character's new job.
  • His grandma and mom hears of this and forces him to take care of a struggling coffee shop.

The End is Near

I attended a beautiful graduation!
Hello everyone! I'm sorry I haven't posted anything at all for five whole days... I was terribly sick this weekend due to unknown causes. I have my last bout of testing this weekend. I have a busy summer planned and it just dawned on me how close the end of everything is. May is such a bittersweet month, especially this year. I'm not ready to be a senior and I'm definitely not ready to go off to college. My mom keeps making snide remarks about doing things by myself and me moving away but it is reality. I'm not sure where I'll be exactly a year from now but I just hope that I'll be happy. This is my last official week before finals week and before the end of junior year forever.

Usually these kinds of posts come on that last day but I choose to appreciate the year right now. I had a much less burdensome and sad year compared to sophomore year. Don't get me wrong, junior year was not a piece of cake, but I really enjoyed it. I met so many new people and had made some unforgettable memories. Dare I say it? It was a really fun year.

Accidentally a Mean Girl

Hello! I've wanted to post something like this for the longest time but couldn't bring myself to do it. It's been a long time since the last time I posted so I'm going to take a deep breath and start this. Well... I don't really know where exactly to start. Have you guys ever watched a chick flick? Haha I definitely have. I've watched so many that I can't even count them anymore. My least favorite character in any chick flick/chick lit is that nice girl who pretends to be someone's friend in order to score the guy. The first character that comes to mind is Regina George from Mean Girls. Regina promises to help Cady score the guy at the Halloween party but kisses him in front of her instead. I have somehow been tossed  into a very unfortunate situation.

In the very beginning, my friend (let's call her Poppy) was interested in this guy named Plumpick (have you watched King of Hearts? That's where these names are from by the way. It's a fantastic film so go watch it now). She wanted romantic advice from me (hah big mistake #1) about Plumpick. I'm not sure how they became friends but at this point I was not friends with Plumpick. She made obnoxious comments about how close she was to TG (no, he does not get a cool name). Plumpick and I have public speaking together (yes, it's a class) and I joked that I'd become friends with him just to set them up. She didn't want my interference and I didn't actually do anything. Ironically enough I wrote a whole entire hate story about Poppy stealing TG from me. She wanted to ask him to prom.

A Day to Remember

Hi everyone :) I had a perfect day today, a day to write down and remember forever. At school, I had four different class parties! The best party ever was for my English teacher who had her 70th birthday. Within a day, our whole class rallied together and planned a birthday party for her! It was the sweetest thing ever. I made the card and managed to get everyone to write a personal message. The card has an element from every single book/story we've read so far. My friend D made a gorgeous cake with fondant flowers and frosted piping. Other people brought cookies, brownies, and a different chocolate cake. Someone brought flowers and two people made a fun quiz about all the things we've read this year. Our teacher was really touched and it'd made all the hard work worth it. She really does deserve a party though. That English class is one of the best experiences I've ever had.

Sunshine, Happiness, and Dead Snakes

Hello everyone! I am no longer hyperventilating under the stress of all sorts of tests. All my tests are wrapping up and I can finally start to smile again. I can choose to watch Korean dramas and read things that aren't required for school. I can have a social life again. I can do yoga with friends. My life is basically a happy place once again. Sure, not everything is perfect and not all scary things are over with, but it's a heck of a lot more manageable. Life is a lot more fun not poring over prep books and study guides, surprisingly right?

Last week and yesterday is a blur in my brain. I can't believe that I'm done! But anyways, I just wanted to talk about today. I "made" S agree to buy me frozen yogurt (he agreed to buy me coffee but froyo is just a lot closer). We rode the bus around four to this little yogurt place in the TINY downtown of where I live. After eating froyo, we both wanted fries. So we stopped by Burger King and ordered fries. I said "for here" and we ended up missing the bus. . . From the downtown to our neighborhood is about an hour long walk, 2.9 miles. We argued the whole time about how biology is a serious science. He thinks biology is pointless but I clearly don't think so.

"Insufferably Frustrating"

Hello all! I know I haven't been around that much but like last post, I promise to be back next Tuesday! This will be an angry, pissed off rant so for those of you who don't like rants, check out something else. There's a whole archive of more than a hundred posts that you could look through. I swear I'm not usually an angry person!

SAT, Study Groups, A Cappella Concert, Oh My!

Hello! Long time no see. The title pretty much sums up my weekend. I had a pretty good weekend overall. Saturday was one hectic day. I went straight to a nearby high school to take the SAT (I registered late..). At one I took a quick detour to Whole Foods so that I could pick up lunch. After that I went straight to a math study group and had . . . fun. I genuinely love my classmates. When I came home at 3 pm, I crashed and took a nap. At five I left for dinner and went to Berkeley campus for an A Cappella concert! I've never been to one so it was super exciting. I went with S. Funny story really quick! It was hot alllllllllll day long. I went from wearing mid knee yoga pants to running shorts to a nice dress. As I left the restaurant, the clouds started rolling in and the wind was going crazy. Although it had been hot all day, the moment I came to Berkeley it was cold and windy. The auditorium was an oven though so I don't regret wearing a dress. Berkeley at night can be quite scary... but there's good food so I guess that makes up for it.

AP tests are coming up very swiftly and suddenly so I'm sorry for the lack of posts. I'm stressed out to the max right now. S is buying my froyo (I sort of demanded that he buy me ice cream) on the Tuesday after my APs are all done so I am looking for that. Starting from that Tuesday, I promise there will be more posts and more stories and more smiles.

On another note, here is a quick playlist of all the songs I really like at the moment:

  • Animal by Neon Trees
  • Just Give Me a Reason by Pink
  • 1, 2, 3, 4 and Rhythm of Love by Plain White T's
  • Radioactive by Imagine Dragons
So goodbye for now! I just wanted to tell you guys that I'm still alive!
